se_2010_logo2.jpgThe 2007 and the 2008 STOREROTICA shows were held in August at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO, while the 2009 show was held at The Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.  In 2010, the STOREROTICA Convention & Tradeshow will once again be held in conjunction with the EXPO.

THE 2009 STOREROTICA SHOW


In 2009, STOREROTICA Magazine introduced their 4th Annual convention as the “What’s New Marketplace” Convention & Tradeshow.  Held alongside the International Lingerie Show (ILS) at the Rio Hotel & Casino on September 21-23, STOREROTICA’s “What’s New Marketplace” show offered three packed days of informative industry panel sessions, an industry tradeshow, and exclusive evening events.  STOREROTICA 2009 featured:

• A three-day tradeshow featuring vendors from across the erotic retail industry, including intimate apparel, erotic toys & novelties and adult DVD manufacturers.

• Three days of workshops and seminars featuring industry experts entitled, “The Smart Sessions.” These included the “Buy Smart” Session, the “Sell Smart” Session and the “Future Smart” Session. 

•  A Keynote Address, entitled “The State of the Erotic Retail Union,” provided by Dreamgirl International’s CEO, Christopher C. Scharff.

•  An exclusive evening party at the ROK Vegas nightclub inside the New York New York Hotel & Casino.

•  The 4th Annual STOREROTICA Awards, which were presented during the ILS Fashion Show.

THE THEME: “MAKING MONEY IN ADULT RETAIL”

Celebrating its second straight year, the Annual STOREROTICA Convention and Tradeshow was dedicated to all erotic retail venue buyers, owners and
operators, including adult retail stores and lingerie boutiques. Retailers from across the country joined industry manufacturers and distributors in
Las Vegas to enjoy the multi-billion-dollar erotic retail industry’s nationally recognized convention, tradeshow and awards show.  To help kick off the
three-day event, STOREROTICA dedicated the first day of the convention to addressing the most current challenges facing adult retail, with four
industry related seminars focusing on commerce, mainstream appeal, strategic marketing methods and legalities.  Judging by the standing room only
crowds, STOREROTICA’s theme of “Making Money in Adult Retail” permeated from the beginning ...

FEAR AND LOVING IT IN LAS VEGAS

“We were somewhere inside the Mandalay Bay, near the edge of the casino, when the fear began to take hold.”  This was how I described to TEEZE
Associate Publisher, Dave Manack, my initial thoughts regarding the first day of STOREROTICA 2007.  By 2 am, inside the friendly confines of our
favorite cocktail lounge, that fear subsided significantly into elated relief knowing that everyone—exhibitors, store owners, and all of those who were
going to be a part of the following three-day STOREROTCA convention and tradeshow—surely experience something acutely similar.  Much like a
contact high that only Las Vegas can provide, we were all along for what was going to be a great ride.  Honestly though, there was little time for
