Long time supporter of the intimate apparel industry Steve Kimberling has left Humboldt Merchant
Services after 13 years and has launched “Intimate Payments”, a credit card processing merchant service
provider focused on the intimates industry.
“I have enjoyed my time in the intimates industry and the friends and clients I have met along the way.
Launching Intimate Payments allows additional controls in marketing, pricing, and services I am now
able to offer to the retailers, manufacturers, and distributors in the industry. In addition to traditional
credit and debit card processing, Intimate Payments will offer services such as Gift Card Processing,
Merchant Cash Advance, Terminal Deployment, ACH/eCheck Processing, and much more.” Kimberling
states.
Kimberling has been involved in the intimate apparel industry for more than five years. He can be seen
exhibiting at the International Lingerie Show and is a frequent visitor to Curve as well as several smaller
regional shows. In addition he has had articles appear in BODY Magazine, TEEZE, McPeteSez.com, and
Contours Magazine. The 2008 Contours International Lingerie Awards was sponsored in part by
Kimberling as well.
“The last 5 years have been very educational in all aspects of the industry. There are not too many
merchant service providers out there who get frequent phone calls from folks asking for his opinion on
who has the best plus size lingerie line , whose fulfillment ratios seem to be the best, or if I can refer
them to a US factory for lingerie production. I have experienced the industry from many angles and am
looking forward to putting this knowledge to work for every merchant in the business.”
In addition to his work with business owners in the intimate space, Steve has also acted as buyer. His
wife, Tayler, opened a retail lingerie shop in their Northern California area in 2006. When away from his
ILS booth Steve can be seen working with clients on their credit card processing needs as well as writing
orders with vendors. His involvement with the retail side of the business provides a unique perspective
other merchant service providers do not have.
